Disney previews 10 new animated movies, most 3-D.
A lonely newt, a strong-willed Scottish princess and modern-day elves are among the stars of 10 new animated movies from Walt Disney Studios and its boutique animation unit, Pixar. The media conglomerate on Tuesday unveiled its upcoming animation slate for movie theater owners and the media. The message of the splashy, three-hour presentation: Disney's acquisition of Pixar has resulted in rejuvenation of the company's entire animation business. The slate, while not entirely a surprise to Disney followers, is certainly ambitious. Over the next five years, Disney's offerings will include a quartet of straight-to-DVD animated features starring Tinker Bell and her friends; the company's first hand-drawn musical in nearly two decades, "The Princess and the Frog"; a 3-D retelling of "Rapunzel"; and much-anticipated additional installments to the "Cars" and "Toy Story" franchises.

Affidavit: Report of child brides led to raid .
SAN ANGELO, Texas (CNN) -- Tipped that girls as young as 13 were being forced to enter "spiritual marriages," have sex and bear children, Texas officials raided an isolated polygamist retreat in West Texas, according to court documents released Tuesday. The information came from a 16-year-old girl who called a family violence hot line March 29, "expressing the need to leave her current living situation," according to the affidavit. The teen bride said she was in an abusive "spiritual" marriage to an older sect member, the documents stated. She reported that she was the man's seventh wife and had been beaten and choked. She said she had been hospitalized in the past with cracked ribs and hoped to escape the abuse by faking a medical condition.

Surgeons transplant 6 kidneys at once.
BALTIMORE - Johns Hopkins surgeons transplanted a half-dozen kidneys simultaneously, an operation believed to be the first of its kind, hospital officials announced Tuesday. The transplants conducted Saturday were made possible when a so-called altruistic donor, who was willing to donate to anyone, was found to be a match for one of six transplant candidates. Five of the candidates had a willing donor whose kidney was incompatible with their particular friend or relative, but a match for another of the six. The 10-hour surgeries used six operating rooms and nine surgical teams. “All 12 are doing great, the six kidneys are working well,” said Dr. Robert Montgomery, director of Hopkins’ transplant center and head of the transplant team.

Four-month old Flocke — German for snowflake — has until now been kept behind closed doors at Nuremberg zoo and has been hand-reared by zookeepers because of fears her mother might harm her. With all the fanfare of a movie premiere or record release, Nuremberg city and zoo officials on Tuesday introduced Germany's latest winsome polar bear cub to a public eager for its first live glimpse of her. The furry 4-month-old imp has been tugging at their heartstrings by video and photograph for months. "Not only Nuremberg, but the whole world has been in Flocke fever," said the city's deputy mayor Horst Foerther. He said the cub has attracted millions of hits on Google since the zoo decided to raise her by hand in January.

A MALAYSIAN man shot and wounded his son after mistaking him for a burglar when he heard the teenager moving around the house in the night.
"It was dark and I only saw a silhouette," Mohd Sobri told the New Straits Times from the hospital where his son was being treated for a bullet wound to the leg. The 18-year-old had got up for a drink in the early hours of the morning, the report said. "My son did not turn on the lights and I thought it was a thief who had broken into our house,'' said the 45-year-old rubber tapper, who only realised his mistake when his son screamed out in pain.

Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2” comes out on Tuesday, it’s the follow up to her smash 2004 “Emancipation of Mimi” album which had a bunch of hits on it. And let me tell you, even I’m surprised. “E=MC2” might be an even bigger chart-topping monster. In the song, Carey sings about “waking up scared some nights, still dreaming about the violent times.” Is it about Mottola? The lyrics begin: “I was a girl/You were ‘the man’/I was too young to understand/I was naïve/Believing everything you told me.”

Baby with two faces worshipped as goddess.
SAINI SUNPURA, India (AP) -- A baby with two faces was born in a northern Indian village, where she is doing well and is being worshipped as the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess, her father said Tuesday. The baby, Lali, apparently has an extremely rare condition known as craniofacial duplication, where a single head has two faces. Except for her ears, all of Lali's facial features are duplicated -- she has two noses, two pairs of lips and two pairs of eyes. "My daughter is fine -- like any other child," said Vinod Singh, 23, a poor farm worker. Lali has caused a sensation in the dusty village of Saini Sunpura, 25 miles east of New Delhi. When she left the hospital, eight hours after a normal delivery on March 11, she was swarmed by villagers, said Sabir Ali, the director of Saifi Hospital. "She drinks milk from her two mouths and opens and shuts all the four eyes at one time," Ali said.

Dad and daughter admit incest produced babies.
(CNN) -- An Australian man and his daughter have created a furor after going on television to admit an incestuous relationship which has produced two children. John Deaves, 61, appeared on the 60 Minutes show with daughter Jenny, 39, and their child -- nine-month-old Celeste, Melbourne's The Age newspaper reported. Last month Judge Steven Millsteed banned the couple from having sex with each other, but released them on a three-year, $460 good behavior bond. Court transcripts also revealed their first child died in 2001 from a congenital heart disorder. The couple told 60 Minutes that they fell in love in 2000 when they "discovered each other later in life." Deaves had left the family home when Jenny was a baby, and did not see her again for 30 years. ...

Doomsday sect members 'died in cave'.
TWO members of a sect, holed-up in a muddy Russian cave since November in expectation of the world's end, have died, a survivor has claimed.
"One person died from cancer, Tamara from Blagoveshchensk. The other was from Belarus and was fasting," Vitaly Nedogon, a sect member who had earlier left the cave, told RTR national television. Nedogon was quoted by RIA Novosti news agency as saying that the deaths occurred while he was still in the cave, located near the village of Nikolskoye in Penza district, some 700 kilometres southeast of Moscow. "During our stay two people died. They are buried there," he said. The authorities said the report - the first of fatalities among the sect - was impossible to confirm.

67 Bodies Secretly Exhumed From New Mexico Grave.
The exhumations, conducted from August to October, removed 67 skeletons from the parched desert soil around Fort Craig — 39 men, two women and 26 infants and children, according to two federal archaeologists who helped with the dig. They also found scores of empty graves and determined 20 had been looted. The government kept its exhumation of the unmarked cemetery near the historic New Mexico fort out of the public's eye for months to prevent more thefts. The investigation began with a tip about an amateur historian who had displayed the mummified remains of a black soldier, draped in a Civil War-era uniform, in his house. Investigators say the historian, Dee Brecheisen, may have been a prolific looter who spotted historical sites from his plane. Brecheisen died in 2004 and although it was not clear whether the looting continued after his death, authorities exhumed the unprotected site to prevent future thefts.

I was given a young man's heart - and started craving beer and Kentucky Fried Chicken. My daughter said I even walked like a man.
Yesterday, the Mail told the extraordinary story of how a heart transplant recipient in America committed suicide - just like the man whose heart he had received 12 years previously. In another extraordinary twist, it emerged that the recipient had also married the donor's former wife. So can elements of a person's character - or even their soul - be transplanted along with a heart? One woman who believes this to be the case is CLAIRE SYLVIA, a divorced mother of one. She was 47 and dying from a disease called primary pulmonary hypertension when, in 1988, she had a pioneering heartlung transplant in America. She was given the organs of an 18-year-old boy who had been killed in a motorcycle accident near his home in Maine. Claire, a former professional dancer, then made an astonishing discovery: she seemed to be acquiring the characteristics, and cravings, of the donor. Here, in an extract from her book A Change Of Heart, Claire tells her remarkable story...
